Introduction of ERESA PRO’s “Sales Quantity Prediction Function
This article describes ERESA PRO’s “sales quantity forecasting” function.
On Amazon, when an item sells, its ranking rises, and ERESA records the number of times the ranking rises (the number of jagged points on the graph) as the “number of times the ranking has fallen.
This number is a rough estimate of the number of units sold, but in most cases, high ranking products (1-4 digits) sell more than that.
By using the “sales volume forecasting function,” you can get a weekly or monthly sales volume forecast based on ERESA’s proprietary algorithm and our own past sales performance data, simply by specifying the major categories and rankings on Amazon.
How to use the sales volume forecasting function
*We recommend that you enter here not the current ranking (because the current ranking may happen to be rising), but the average ranking figure over a period of time.
Example: Nintendo Switch main unit
There have been 231 ranking drops in the past 30 days…
Based on the average ranking over the past 90 days, the projected monthly sales volume is 15567 units.
It is impossible to give a 100% accurate number of units sold unless you are the seller yourself, so please take this as a guide only.
