Explanation of Detailed Search Criteria
Best Sellers Ranking
In this section, you can search by specifying the best sellers ranking.
The available criteria for specification are as follows:
Regarding the search for best sellers rankings:
- Current Rank: You can specify the current ranking.
- 30 Days, 90 Days, 180 Days Average: You can specify rankings based on the average over these three periods.
- 90 Days Change Rate: You can specify the change rate over the last 90 days (-99% to 1000%).
If you want to narrow down products that have increased in price by 5 to 10 times (500% to 1000%) over the past 90 days:
For example, when you set the ranking within the specified range for the “Games” category, products falling within that range will be extracted. As a trial, you’ve looked into products ranked from 4,000th to 5,000th.
- Saving search conditions
- Moving to different display pages
- Changing the number of displayed items (50 to 200 items)
- Exporting displayed products to CSV

Amazon
In this section, you can set the listing price, availability, and other conditions for the Amazon main body.
For example, when you check the “Out of stock” button, it will display items that are currently unavailable on the Amazon website.
By narrowing down the search to items that are out of stock, you might have the possibility to pinpoint promising products, as Amazon allows you to specifically search for items that are temporarily unavailable.
By adding the “Amazon out of stock” condition to the previous criteria (game + ranking 4000-5000), the results were narrowed down to 708 items.
If Amazon itself is listed as the seller, there might be instances where you cannot compete on price or have difficulty winning the Buy Box. By avoiding such products, you can enhance your chances of success.
New and used.
In this section, similar to Amazon prices, you can also set the availability and pricing for new and used items.
Setting this up will allow you to understand your competitors’ listing prices and any price fluctuations.
If you’ve already determined the category and niche for sourcing, input the desired prices for each and conduct the search.
Cart.
In this section, you can specify the price for the cart box (for new items). When making sourcing decisions on Amazon, it’s crucial to consider the price at which you acquire the cart box to avoid operating at a loss.
If you already have products or niches in mind, set the prices accordingly and input them here.
Reference price.
In this section, you can specify the “Reference Price” set on Amazon and search.
“Reference price” is a system where suppliers or sellers commissioned by Amazon can input arbitrary values from their management screens. While manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) is common, sometimes completely different amounts might be registered, or no registration might occur at all. Currently, it is possible to specify no current price, but because reference prices can fluctuate, the displayed reference price in search results might show the most recent price.
The detailed search of ERESA PRO is intended for category and keyword searches. However, if you’re looking to find products being sold for more than their list price, this feature can also be useful for specific items!
If you have products for which you know the selling list price, go ahead and input the prices here.
As a trial, I set the price range to 5,000 to 6,000 yen for the game category and searched for products being sold in the cart acquisition range of 8,000 to 10,000 yen.
All of these products are selling for more than their regular prices and are commanding a premium (above the regular price).
By further increasing the acquisition cost, you can discover products that have experienced a significant surge in price. This way, you can identify items that can be sold at a premium.
New (FBA) ・ Used (FBA)
If you want to search only for FBA sellers (products), set prices for new (FBA) and used (FBA) items.
While some products may also use self-fulfillment, Amazon primarily focuses on researching users who offer Prime shipping.
By setting this price range, you can limit your search to users who are fulfilling orders through FBA, providing insights into the number of competitors and the prices at which they secure the Buy Box.
Those concerned about the level of competition might find these points helpful for reference.
Category
If you already have a determined procurement genre, it is possible to search by specifying the category.
While you can only specify the main category, it proves useful when conducting searches for specific genres. You can use it to narrow down the genres of products that sell well, or to discover products with premium value, enabling various applications.
※If you want to narrow down your search to products without variations, please select “Search Single Variations Only.”
Keyword
This is used when you want to specify keywords (product name, brand name, etc.) included in the product title.
Method to search keywords with exact match
By adding double quotation marks (“”) around the keyword, you can perform an exact match search.
When searching without including “”,
Products containing the keywords “chocolate” or “cake” will be displayed.
When searching with the inclusion of “”,
Only products that contain the keywords “chocolate cake” in the same order will be displayed.
Method for searching with exact phrase match:
By adding parentheses “()” to the keywords, you can search with an exact phrase match.
Method for excluding specific keywords:
You can exclude specific keywords from your search by adding a minus “-” sign in front of the keyword.
Release date
You can also search for release dates here. Even if you find inexpensive products that seem profitable, there are cases where they are not yet available for sale as pre-order items.
Such products are generally excluded as potential purchases, so when conducting a search, input a date after the search date.
If the search is being conducted on February 1, 2022, for example, in the “From” field, input “February 1, 2022,” and only products already available for sale on Amazon will be displayed.
There are many products on Amazon for which the release date is not specified (especially for items that were released in the past). When you specify a date, these products will not be displayed in the search results.
90-day out-of-stock rate.
If you want to know about recently sold-out products, you should also set the 90-day out-of-stock rate. Here, you can set it between 1 and 100 for Amazon, new, and used items.
For example, if a product on Amazon is out of stock, it makes the seller’s items more likely to sell, making it a potential target product.
As a test, when searching in the toy category (new) with a 30-40% out-of-stock rate within the last 90 days, the following products appeared.
A wide range of products, from small items to household appliances, are displayed, and various items have been found. By actually viewing the product data, you can better understand whether the items are selling well or not.
For instance, this product here. The orange graph represents Amazon, and it’s evident that there was a period of time when the product was out of stock.
Right as the Amazon stock ran out, there was a price fluctuation, and it was selling for as high as 1,200 yen! This demonstrates that products that go out of stock on Amazon tend to experience temporary price increases.
Hence, if you’re considering sourcing products, paying attention to the out-of-stock rate is essential.
Number of sellers.
If you wish to specify the number of sellers, it’s advisable to set a quantity and conduct the search. (You can specify either new or used.)
To avoid sourcing products with excessively high numbers of sellers, it’s important to set a limit on the item count when conducting searches. This will help prevent potential difficulties in selling such items.
Setting a range of 3 to 6 items is recommended, as it can help you discover products with fewer competitors. For OEM products, a range of 1 to 2 is advisable.
Decline in Sales Rankings
In this section, you can specify the number of ranking decreases and the decrease rate for each institution.
One criterion for making sourcing decisions on Amazon is the frequency of ranking drops. The higher the frequency of drops, the more you can determine that the product is selling well.
※These figures serve as one indicator of the number of units sold, and in the case of high-ranking products (1 to 4 digits), they often sell even more.
The key factor in Amazon rankings is the degree of fluctuation. For instance, if there were 10 ranking changes in a month, the product would have sold at least 10 units within that month. Since there is one order per change, it doesn’t necessarily mean that only one unit was sold, but by observing the ranking fluctuations, you can make a rough estimation.
Seller
Here, you can specify the seller ID to identify a specific seller or the seller type of cart box acquisition (sellers who have obtained cart boxes).
Rating
In this section, you can specify the rank of review ratings and the number of reviews.
Products with a high number of reviews can be considered trustworthy, which could potentially lead to increased sales.
Package Dimensions
In this section, you can specify the size of the product.
For rough package sizes, it’s advisable to choose from the four options: “S, M, L, LL”.
If you have a clear size in mind, search by dimensions or select the size category defined by Amazon based on their sizing guidelines.
It’s very convenient when looking for products such as FBA small and lightweight targets.
